About

Hi, I’m Mert Caner — but online, you’ll probably know me as **Shredologist**.

I’m a guitarist, content creator, and yes… also a medical doctor.
Bit of a strange mix? Maybe. But just like in medicine, guitar mastery takes precision, discipline, and endless practice — and I’ve always been drawn to that kind of challenge.

My playing style blends heavy metal, neoclassical shred, and progressive guitar.
I’ve been inspired by legends like Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Jason Becker, Nuno Bettencourt, John Petrucci, and Jeff Loomis — the kind of players who turn technicality into art.

On my platforms, I share:
-Solo performances and full covers (Symphony X, Dream Theater, Racer X… you name it)
-Guitar lessons that focus on technique and clarity, not fluff
-Gear reviews and plugin demos (Nembrini, Neural DSP, Audio Assault and more)

I created “Shredologist” to break through the noise of generic advice and help guitarists actually improve. Whether you’re a beginner or already sweeping through  arpeggios, you’ll find something here to level up your playing.

Let’s make your guitar time count.
